A Guru is a teacher - nothing more, nothing less.

When we go to school or university, we know we are there to learn, and we accept that one day we must leave.

A true teacher's deepest wish is for you to step forward, stand on your own two feet, and ultimately surpass their knowledge and methods.

We do not worship our university professors or ape their behavioral patterns.

The same applies to the spiritual path.

The Guru is simply a mirror; each of us needs to realize our own true Self and walk our own unique path.

The Way to Begin Understanding is mentioned near the end of the essay…The Quiet Mind.

Only Then can the Upper Room or Mind begin to see meaning in Phrases such as I Am Always in Communion With You.

The Whole Sum of Being a Guru is to Guide The Individual into Awareness of Being Part of the All. The Rest is Always Practicing Staying in Touch Past the Ever Present Internal and External Challenges. Okey Dokey, Here We Go.

As it's mentioned - "Shastras describe the qualities of a Knower. They also specify that the Guru should be “shrotriya” and “brahma-nishtha”, which means he should be a realized knower of the ultimate Truth and exclusively dedicated to the Truth alone." -– Nutan Swamiji
